Encouragement Evangelism?
Have you ever considered encouragement as evangelism? In our fast paced, hi-tech world, in many ways we have lost touch with compassion and what it means to be “human.” Francis Schaeffer observed that one of the best ways to evangelize people is to “treat them well,” and that “one form of good treatment should include honest encouragement.”
Imagine that. A few well sprinkled, kind words spread by us with some consistency just might impact a hungry heart. Undeniably, the word of God is spiritual seed, but perhaps we could consider our kind words as sort of a “soil amendment,” to use a gardening term. What a simple thing to do. And what potential results! Who in your travels today would benefit from your encouragement?
